A BOAT moored at Findochty Harbour has sunk.

Moored at the outer wall of the harbour's western basin, the vessel is completely submerged apart from its mast.

A Moray Council spokesperson said: “Harbour staff have attended an incident in Findochty where a vessel has sunk.

"There has been no environmental impact, although this situation will be closely monitored.”

At the time of writing no indication has been given when an attempt to raise the boat will be made
