Birthday court appearance for Buckie accused

A BUCKIE man's birthday was to be a less than happy occasion when he appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Mark Thain, who is 42, appeared in court facing charges of assault to severe injury and threatening behaviour.

He made no plea to the charges.

Thain was then committed for further examination and released on bail. He will appear again before the court at a later date.
