Arradoul SWI held their AGM meeting recently.

Opening the meeting – which included a Taste and Try Evening – was Arradoul SWI President Coleen MacKenzie.

A review of the group's activities showed another very busy and successful year had passed.

After the business was complete, member Susan Clarke demonstrated making salt dough, cutting and creating designs. Members then created items and also had a go at painting some ready cooked items Susan had prepared earlier.

She is hoping this will encourage more entries for the Keith Show salt dough competition.

Having worked up a good appetite, members were ready to tuck into the Taste and Try. They brought in a selection of savoury and sweet dishes to share, then decide which they liked best. The winning savoury dish was made by Wendy Cumming with Emma Marandola coming second, and the sweet dish was won by Donna Trowbridge with Coleen MacKenzie in second place.

The new committee was appointed as follows: President – Coleen MacKenzie; Vice-President – Sheila Thomas; Secretary – Emma Marandola; Treasurer – Alvina McNair; Press Secretary – Lois Archibald; Raffles – Marion Hopkinson; Tea Convenor – Carol Duncan. Committee Members – Wendy Cumming; Marian Stringer; Janet Winterbourne; Donna Trowbridge.

The next meeting on Tuesday, June 20 with a speaker coming from the Doric Board. Visitors are always welcome.
