THERE was plenty food for thought as Arradoul SWI members gathered for their October meeting.

A cookery demonstration was the main event of the evening at Arradoul SWI's October meeting.
A cookery demonstration was the main event of the evening at Arradoul SWI's October meeting.

The main event for the evening was a 30-minute meal cookery demonstration by Sybil Stuart. She filled the hall with lovely aromas as she prepared the three-course meal of mushrooms in garlic sauce, caramelised pork and lemon and lime syllabub. Everyone enjoyed the tasting session when it was ready

The competition results were: Flower of the month – 1. Veronica Thow, 2. Wendy Crosby; Flavoured scone – 1st Margaret Miskelly, 2. Jessie Low.

Arradoul members were joined for the evening by friends from Boharm, Grange and Fordyce Rurals.

The next meeting is at 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 15 in Arradoul SWI hall where Ewan Brindle will be telling stories about his life as a world champion piper. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

The Arradoul Craft Fair will be held on Sunday, November 27. Entry is free so why not come along and do some Christmas shopping.
