Arradoul SWI all aboard for taste of boating fun

ENJOYING watersports on the Moray Firth took centre stage at the April meeting of Arradoul SWI.

Guest speakers were Mairi and George from Findochty Water Sports Club who gave an entertaining talk and slide show on the group's activities.

The club have over 100 members who enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding and coastal rowing as well as attending special events along the coast.

Not to be left out of the Six Harbour Walk, they took part by doing a six harbour row instead.

The pride and joy of the club is their skiff boat Morag which they built from scratch themselves. The boat was later joined by Morven, which they also part-built.

Arradoul members heard that Findochty Harbour is a hive of activity when the weather is right and that the club are always keen to get onlookers involved.

The next meeting is a Taste and Try, with members welcome to come along with their own food or simply sample others'. Due to be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 17 in Arradoul hall, the evening will also feature the group's AGM.
