Charities supporting challenged and vulnerable young people could be in for a four-figure grant boost.

NORTH-east charities supporting challenged and vulnerable young people under the age of 16 could be eligible for grants of up to £2500.

The 7stars Foundation offers grants of up to £2,500 for registered UK charities working in areas of deprivation and disadvantage with an annual turnover of less than £1.5 million.

Eligible projects should aim to empower young people, provide immediate support, and address gaps in existing services by for example providing recreational activities, mentoring programmes and counselling sessions.

Two additional funding streams are also available.

Shine Bright Grants offer up to £1500 to purchase educational, wellbeing, or recreational items for young people under 16.

Individual funding up to £500 is also available for young people who are represented by a safeguarding, legal, social, or outreach professional.
