Woman injured in crash near Turriff

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital last night following a collision between two cars near Turriff on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road.

The accident happened near the B9170 junction at around 9.30pm, and the woman’s injuries were not life threatening.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of her car to free her and she was taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

No one else was injured.
