THE streets of Monaco are used to seeing elite sports cars, but this summer a giant cat will tear through the iconic motorsports city, courtesy of four friends from Banffshire.

Richard Earsman (25), Ross Raffan (22), James Ewan (25) and Josh Whitehouse (22) have transformed a 14-year-old Vauxhall Corsa convertible into the ‘Cabrio Cat’, ready to take part in the Ramshackle Rally in August.

They will travel more than 2,000 miles, firstly travelling down to Dover to catch a ferry before starting the rally in France and heading to their destination, the Spanish city of Valencia.

The good mates from Whitehills, Macduff and Aberchirder are taking part in the rally to raise money for the children’s charity, the Archie Foundation.
