GRAMPIAN Police are renewing their appeal for information in an effort to track down registered sex offender Paul Redpath (40) who was last seen in Aberdeen on July 19.
As a result of media coverage there have been a number of unconfirmed sightings throughout Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.
A police spokesman said: "He is likely to associate with street drinkers and approach members of the public, charitable and religious organisations asking for money, and is able to survive in this way.
"He generally stays in homeless hostels run by charitable and religious organisations and may provide false details. He travels extensively."
Redpath was originally convicted at Belfast Crown Court in April 2006 and sentenced to three years imprisonment.
Detective Chief Inspector Malcolm Macleod, of Grampian Police, said: "We are grateful to the members of the public who have taken the time to contact us about Paul Redpath but we have not been able to trace him.
"I urge anyone with any information about Paul Redpath or his current whereabouts to contact us."
Anyone with information can contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
