Police appeal for witnesses following Turriff nightclub assault

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Buckley’s Nightclub in Castle Street, Turriff.

A 24-year-old man was was struck on the face by another man between 12.50am and 1am last Sunday, December 18.

The victim was taken to Turriff Hospital where he was treated for minor facial injuries.

The assailant is believed to be a local man in his early to mid twenties and was wearing a blue and white checked shirt.

Investigating officer, Constable Richard Henderson from Turriff local policing team, said: "This appears to have been an unprovoked assault resulting in the victim having to receive medical attention. I would ask that anyone with any information regarding this incident to please come forward."
