Man rescued from sea

A MAN was treated for hypothermia in hospital after he was rescued from the sea at Palmer Cove, by Banff Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Macduff RNLI Lifeboat crew and staff from Banff Coastguard helped him out of the water around 4pm.

The middle-aged man, who is believed to have been in the water for up to 40 minutes, was taken to Chalmers Hospital, Banff and later airlifted by RAF helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
