Jubilee picnic begins toddlers’ farewell

A reorganisation of nurseries by Aberdeenshire Council means that three and four year olds will now attend nursery sessions and means the Hopscotch group has to dissolve.

However, a call has been made to parents in the town to get involved with setting up a new toddlers group that would cater for newborns up to the age of three.

Group chairwoman Kerry Walker said: “As we have children from newborns up to the age of four our constitution will now be void and the group has to dissolve.

“We knew the changes were coming in, so we have had time to prepare for it and it will have to finish at the end of June."
