DESPITE the poor summer weather, Banff Flower Show last Saturday saw nearly 700 entries submitted.
Organisers Banff Horticulture Association (BHA) were delighted by the vibrant display created at the town’s Bridge Street Community Centre.
To commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, organisers presented a trophy for the best entry representing the event to Morgan Irvine from Banff.
Muriel Farquharson, secretary of the show, said: "After the poor summer, we feared the event would be badly hit, but exhibitors provided a wonderful display, and it was encouraging to see new exhibitors."
Banff and Buchan MP Eilidh Whiteford was a special guest at the event and presented the prizes.
