LOCAL addiction recovery charity, Teen Challenge North East Scotland, has been highly rated by inspectors.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Teen Challenge's men's recovery centre, Sunnybrae, near Fyvie, and have published their report.
Inspectors rated it "very good" for care, support and staffing – the second best of six possible ratings.
The report said: "Teen Challenge provides a holistic and individual service to a small number of people at a time.
"The overwhelming feeling from the inspection was of respect and caring.
"People are clearly accepted and valued whatever their needs, ability, gender, age, faith, background or other traits.
"Everyone has their own support plan and their own support towards individual goals.
"People can be confident that the right people are fully informed about their past, including their health and care experience, and any impact this has had on them."
Area manager, Gordon Cruden, said: "This report validates and encourages me that my staff are being recognised for the hard work and professional service they deliver.
"Recently, we were also recognised by the Celebrate Aberdeen Awards."
