The pool at Bracoden has been restored and is back in use.

Children at Bracoden Primary were the first to have fun in the pool.

That follows the closure of the pool in 2015 and a local campaign to get it open again.

The pool was first opened on May 14, 1959 and the first pupil to use it, chosen by drawing lots, was John Scott.

In the 1980s the pool needed upgrading and local residents raised the money needed.

A large crowd attended the official re-opening of the pool. Archie Murray was the first pupil to make a splash after his name was drawn out by Mr Scott.
