A FIREFIGHTER who helped rescue a woman from a car which had plunged into Macduff Harbour has been honoured.
Kevin Smith (43) is a full-time firefighter and works as a training officer in Aberdeen.
He is also a member of the retained team in Banff.
Mr Smith has received an award from the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals for his part in the rescue of a woman from her car in October 2015.
He dived underwater to reach the woman and safely remove her from the sinking car.
