Main route closure - update

Drivers were being advised that the B9025 Aberchirder - Turriff Road was set to be closed from Monday, November 18 until Monday, December 2 between Kirkton Farm to Deveron Road, Turriff for landslip prevention work.

However in an update on Monday afternoon, Aberdeenshire Council have now confirmed that this closure will now take place the week begining Monday, November 25 and will at present only be expected to lead to closures between 9am and 3.30pm.

Aberdeenshire Council initially confirmed that the work was set to go ahead as advertised online with the prospect of lengthy diversions via either Banff or Forgue.

The official diversion is an extended route from the B9025 to A97, A97 to A98 at Banff, A98 to A947 at Banff Bridge, A947 to Turriff, A947 via Market Street, Church Street, Gladstone Terrace, Deveron Street and Deveron Road.
