Edna's Christmas Nite Oot raises £1500

An annual talent showcase has raised £1500, which will be split between Friends Of ANCHOR and Turriff United Youth Football Club.

Organised by Edna Anderson, revellers to the sell-out event enjoyed entertainment from various local singers.

Amongst the line up were Debbie McTavish, Joyce Thomson, Ryan Mair, Shannon Feely, Jimmy Swaffield, Murray Laing, Alys Musset and Becky George as well as Edna herself.

The Nite Oot events continue to be a popular date in Turriff's calendar, raising great amounts for charity.

Commenting on the nights success, Edna said: "We had a fantastic 'Nite Oot' in Turra!

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful singers!

"Over £1500 was raised and will be split between Turriff's youth football and Friends of ANCHOR.

"Many thanks to everyone who came along, and thank you to Jim and Yvonne Low and their lovely staff at the Royal Oak and thank you to Liz for being a welcoming face at the door."
