A packed Turriff Royal British Legion played host to a fundraising coffee morning in aid of the Friends of Turriff Cottage Hospital.

The group helps to provide support for patients and staff at Turriff's hospital and have over the years been able to fund many improvements in both equipment and the environment at the facility.

Local's generosity ensured that some £1225 was raised on the day to which the group's Sheila Grant said: "Again our thanks go to the local community for their generosity.

"This money will go into our fund to expand the building to provide accommodation for those with family members in palliative care."
