Crudie School’s Community Crusaders group have raised £65 for WWF after being appalled by the effects of the Australian bushfires on the animals.

The group gave a presentation to raise awareness in the school of the plight of the animals affected by the fires before organising some fun activities to do which pupils had to pay to take part in.

There was a colouring and word search competition, pin the tail on the kangaroo and a Koala drive.

Pupils also paid £1 to dress as they pleased for a day at the school.

Members of the community also chose to donate to the cause after hearing about the project.
