Fundraising committee member Sue Edwards said: “We would like to thank everyone who came along to support this very worthy cause at our special coffee morning in support of Poppy Scotland.

“We are pleased to report that we made the sum of £643 which will go towards the support of veterans and their families.

“This time of year is so important as we reflect on the various conflicts that have taken place – and are still taking place – and remember not only the fallen, but those who are left suffering physically, mentally, and emotionally.

“We would like to thank not only those who came along to the coffee morning, but also those who gave their time to help in so many ways.”
