Fintry Primary School's fundraising coffee morning proved a resounding success on Saturday in Turriff.

Organised by parents and pupils a packed Royal British Legion welcomed members of the school's community who provided much welcomed refreshments to visitors.

Stalls and a raffle along with homebakes and vegetable sales helped to boost the total raised to a fantastic £1100 for which a spokeswoman for the school said: "A big thank you goes to everyone who came along to support us and who are also continuing to support us in the Tesco Bags of Help tokens appeal in the Turriff store."
