Arrest after Turriff incident

A man is in custody after an incident in Turriff this morning which prompted swift action from Police Scotland.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance to which officers were called to in Turriff around 10 am this morning at a property in Laithers Crescent.

“Armed officers attended as a precautionary measure.”

“The person in question was not injured, however, he was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“No on else was injured and a female occupant of house was safe and well.”
