Lairds Cricket Ground was untouched by rains which caused issues to many matches on the opening day of the 2022 season.

Methlick's first team took on Siyapa's second team at Lairds, kickstarting the season with 30 points after securing 159 for seven (S Murphy 59, A Veersema 51) against their opponents 11 points from 86 (T Duffy 4-19, A Veersema 2-16).

This Saturday they will travel south to Mineralwell Park with hopes of continuing their winning streak against Stonehaven Thistle.
