Fyvie took on Turriff United at the Haughs in a local friendly in what proved a tough game for the visitors against the Highland League side.
Fyvie started the game well and contained the Turriff side for the opening 20 minutes of the game before Turriff won a penalty
Stepping up to the mark was Aberdeen FC loanee Tyler Mykyta who rattled the ball off the post just as a heavy rain shower opened up and slowed down the pace.
But it was Turriff who went ahead on 30 minutes when a ball was played through the middle to Mykyta who slid it in to Robert Ward to fire the ball low into the net.
The goal seemed to spur Turriff on and they looked more dangerous as the game went on and they grabbed a second on 37 minutes when Matty McDonald worked his way in to the edge of the area before firing a left footed shot from the edge of the box.
In the second half Fyvie brought on Stephen Lawrie to replace Stewie Sleigh who had picked up an injury and also swapped out Lewis Neil for Darren Chapman.
Turriff United got a third on the hour mark when half time substitute Rory Brown played a ball down the left for Luke Kinsella who crossed it first time into the box for Angus Grant to fire home.
Turriff got a fourth on 78 minutes when Rory Brown played a low through ball in for Kyle Buxton who looked to be in an offside position however his shot hit the post and rebounded across goal for Callan Gray to finish.
Turriff got a late penalty on 89 minutes where Angus Grant’s effort down the middle was saved by Mike McKinnon but Angus fired the rebound into the net.
