Player assistant Hamish Munro was sent off for a first half challenge, and Buckie held out with ten men for half an hour until Little opened the scoring midway through the second half.

Dale Wood was next to be dismissed on 72 minutes, conceding a penalty which Little converted to seal victory.

Brechin City and Fraserburgh are the Highland League survivors in the last 32 of the cup.

Brechin won 4-1 after extra time against former SPFL rivals Cowdenbeath, who now play in the Lowland League.

Brad McKay’s first half opener was cancelled out by a Jake Sutherland strike just after half time, and the score remained 1-1 after 90 minutes.

McKay added two more in extra time with Spencer Moreland also on target to send the Highland League leaders through.

Goals by Connor Wood and Kieran Simpson in the final six minutes of the first half handed Fraserburgh a fine 2-0 win over League 1 Annan Athletic.

Brora Rangers went down 2-0 at Championship challengers Livingston, with Reece McAlear and Tete Yongi on target for Livi.

Banks o’ Dee also lost to a second tier side after Oli Shaw’s first half double for Hamilton Accies set up a 2-1 win for the visitors at Spain Park, Michael Philipson replying for Dee.

The fourth round draw in on Monday night with Elgin City also in the mix after their 3-2 success over Kelty Hearts.
