Stormy weather puts paid to Highland League Cup quarter-final and Highland League fixture





Buckie Thistle’s Highland League Cup quarter-final against Fraserburgh has been postponed due to a waterlogged Victoria Park pitch.

In the Highland League, Wick Academy against Turriff United is also off.

Last night, the first League Cup semi-finalist was revealed when Banks o’ Dee defeated Brechin City 3-0 at Spain Park.

Max Alexander, Michael Philipson and an own goal made up the Dee tally.

The other two quarter-finals between Huntly and Deveronvale, and Brora Rangers and Formartine United are still on at the moment.

Keith’s league trip to Strathspey Thistle, kick off 2pm, has been passed playable while Clach host Lossiemouth in the day’s other league match.
