New striker Jordan Clark fired Vale in front midway through the first half before East End levelled from a penalty.

Back came the visitors to lead through Charlie Hay’s second of the season making it 2-1 to Vale at the break.

A good start to the second period saw the away team put some distance between themselves and East End.

Sam Mair won a penalty which was scored by Noel Scott and Mair then set up James Stables to make it 4-1.

The Aberdonians had a player sent off before Fergus Edwards netted Vale’s fifth from close range.

East End weren’t finished, scoring twice in quick succession - one a penalty - and Vale had keeper Ryan Brindle sent off for handling outside the box.

The home side then hit the bar from the resulting free kick, a warning that the game wasn’t over yet.

But Clark netted his second for the visitors to make it 6-3 and Mair broke away to clinch victory with Vale’s seventh of the afternoon, rendering East End’s fourth goal as nothing more than a consolation.

Islavale have also been knocked out of the Grill League Cup, as the 1-0 result stands in their quarter-final clash at Hermes last week which was abandoned due to a head injury sustained by Vale’s Finlay Stables.

In the Championship, Lossiemouth United continued a good run of form with a 5-2 win in the Moray derby at Dufftown.

Alex Matczak nodded United into an early lead and the same player scored a second header on 12 minutes before captain Harvey Kane made it 3-0.

Forres Mechanics youngster Kieran Hayllar scored his first goal since joining Dufftown on loan to reduce the deficit.

Midway through the second half, Lossie sub Callum Milton was sent off for two quick bookings and when Shaun Cameron netted a Dufftown penalty, the contest was back on at 3-2 to the visitors.

However, the ten men found another gear with Noah Murray tapping in a fourth and Callum Clark’s late strike sealed the points for the coast side.

Deveronside defeated Burghead Thistle 2-0 with Ryan Matheson and Owen Christie getting the goals.

Forres Thistle went down 3-1 at leaders Longside. Toby Clark got Jags goal after the home side led 3-0 at the break.

Managerless Whitehills’ tough start continued with an 11-0 defeat at home to Banchory St Ternan.

The School Park outfit have lost all four league games so far, conceding 44 goals in the process.
