Turriff United and Inverurie Locos are amongst Highland League clubs who are calling on supporters to help them in the next round of the Donate a Ticket Cross-Country Cup which is now underway.

The scheme which encourages fans for pay for tickets to the league games which did not take place is already making a massive difference to club’s funds throughout Scotland.

Clubs spread across Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are all taking part and the first round saw play Turriff United away to Glenrothes FC while Inverurie Locos were at home to Eastbourne Borough and Keith played at home to Huntly.

In the second round, Turriff are now playing away to Musselburgh Athletic, Keith find themselves away to Whitehawk FC and Inverurie Loco Works are away to Foundation of Hearts.

Teams once again have just three days to try and raise as many £5 ticket donations as possible, with the team that receives more than their progressing to the next stage, with the second round closing at 8pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for Turriff said: "As mentioned the other week thanks to all of you donating we made it through to the second round of the Donate A Ticket Cross Country Cup where we now face an away tie against Musselburgh Atheltic

"We would be delighted and eternally grateful if you were able to donate again to try and take us into the third round

"As per last time we will again be entering all donators into a raffle to win either a season ticket for next season when it kicks off again or two tickets for our next ladies day when it arrives. "
