Quilter Cheviot Ellon Gordon found themselves without a game last Saturday due to the fact for the second week running Stoneywood Dyce failed to raise a side for their Grade 2 fixture, thus gifting Ellon the 30 points which sees them top of league 2.

They are joined at the top of the table by Mannofield who got their season underway with a win at home to Portcullis while Fraserburgh saw a last ball victory at home to Methlick and 2nd Knight Riders beat 2nd AGSFPs by three wickets.

In Grade 3 Stonehaven secured a comfortable win over 2nd Gordonians a scene repeated as Crathie took on Methlick in what would become a short match as the Methlck were dismissed for just 44.

Huntly were bowled out for 102 by 2nd Grampian while Banchory edged out a spirited return from Dunecht.

Up in Grade 1 Cults ran out winners by 12 runs against Inverurie in a high scoring match while there were also wins for AGSFP, Crescent and Bon Accord.
