Nairn beckons for Buckie Ladies

BUCKIE Ladies are set to head to the Highlands for their next pre-season friendly this coming Sunday.

The Merson Park outfit had been left without a fixture after the original game pencilled in for this date against Granite City Ladies was cancelled due to start of the Aberdeen side's league season soon afterwards.

However, Nairn have stepped into the breach and the two Highlands and Islands League sides will meet at the Showfield, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

Buckie boss Mel Smith will be hoping to a radical improvement on her team's performance compared to their last outing against Moray Ladies, which led to comprehensive 8-1 defeat in what was a dismal day at the office for the hosts.
