True to form, the home side recorded a 5-1 win to leave their neighbours still without a league point in their debut season.

Craigellachie, buoyed by their maiden victory over Cullen in the Tewnion Trophy on Friday, were keen to avenge a 5-0 league defeat in their last encounter with Aberlour.

Villa struck first when ex-Forres mechanics player Jack Craib blasted high into the net from close range.

Craigellachie responded quickly with an equaliser as the home keeper's attempted clearance was blocked by Dale McTavish and trundled into the net.

Five minutes later Craib netted again, slipping the ball under the keeper to restore Aberlour's advantage.

It was into the second half before the leaders embellished their lead, firstly when Blair Watt's fine free kick went in at the near post.

The spectacular goals kept coming for Villa with Greig Donald crashing home a volley from the edge of the box, and Ross Low's low drive completed the home tally.

RAF Lossiemouth have won five of their last six matches after Henry Jordan's hat-trick helped see off Cullen at the air base.

Jordan was the big difference between the teams and he opened the scoring, embarking on a mazy run from the halfway line before coolly slotting home.

He doubled his tally from Rhys Blackwood's cutback, but Cullen got one back with a brilliant strike by Kris Geddes who scored from inside his own half.

The visitors' joy was short-lived as Jordan turned provider with a clever free kick to Darren Street who scored to make it 3-1.

A first half purple patch continued for Lossie as Jordan completed his treble with a low finish.

The Jordan masterclass continued, as he swung in a wicked ball for James Johnston to nod in his fifth goal of the season and give the airmen a 5-1 half time advantage.

Cullen to their credit came out in the second half a much-improved side and bossed the play, scoring a second goal from Logan Mill's great finish.

This Friday the top two sides meet on the coast with RAF Lossiemouth taking on Aberlour Villa.

Hopeman return to action with a trip to Cullen while Craigellachie are at home to FC Fochabers, also on Friday (kick-offs 7.30pm).
