Changeable weather brought mixed results for anglers at Delgatie Trout Fishery this week.

The fish this week were mainly in the first four feet of water, however they did move up and down throughout the day depending on the weather.

They were still taking smaller dries, wets and emergers, with the occasional bag going to smaller lures, but nothing in excess of one inch.

The catch rate this week was not as good as last with the average being five to six in a six hour period, however there were quite a few blanks.

Worthy of mention is John Kerr who caught five, however he caught them on a John special, John has only recently taken up fly tying and he caught for the first time on one of his own creations.
