DEVERONSIDE are top of the north junior Superleague table.

A 2-0 win over Hall Russell United on Saturday maintained their perfect start to the league season.

They moved three points clear of fellow 100 per cent sides Banks o' Dee and Culter, who weren't in league action.

Player manager John McLeay got the ball rolling for Deveronside against their Aberdeen visitors to Myrus on Saturday.

McLeay struck his first goal of the season to put Side into the lead in treacherous conditions, with almost incessant rain at Macduff.

Nathan Ross then netted his second of the campaign to wrap up his team's fourth consecutive league victory.

Deveronside take a break from league action on Saturday as they host Aberdonians Culter in the Domino's Pizza North Regional Cup first round.

Whitehills, whose league game against New Elgin was postponed, host Nairn St Ninian in the same cup (kick offs 2pm).
