Low scores across the board as Huntly Golf Club nears end of club championships

THE club championships are producing some low scoring at Huntly Golf Club.
Four rounds of strokeplay will decide the champions in both the gents and ladies competitions.
After three rounds of the gents’ championship, Mark Whyte leads the way by two shots as rounds of 67, 66 and 72 gave him a score of 205. Graham Nicol is his nearest rival going into the final round - played this Saturday - with Graeme Guild and Duncan Ralph just another two shots further back (209).
The ladies have played two rounds with Lucy Buckley six shots clear at the halfway stage after rounds of 72 and 76 for a 148 total. Rose Anderson (154), Yvonne Stewart (161) and Anne Marshall (162) sit in the next three places.
