Inverurie Locos boss Andy Low knows that the mission of finishing in the top three will be a tough task with the likes of Rothes, Buckie and Formartine all challenging for it.

However, Low believes that his side can achieve it.

Low said: “It is going to be difficult, I will imagine Buckie, Formartine and Rothes will be the three sides that will be targeting a top-three finish.

“We all have each other to play.

“We will all be playing each other in the next few weeks which makes it interesting.

“It makes it tough for Brora, I think they will be league champions but certainly don’t think they will have it all their own way as Fraserburgh will push them until the end.

“We just need to go about our business and get three points on the board.

“There is a target there for the players and I feel that Inverurie Locos are a top- three club.

“I would be disappointed if we weren’t to achieve that.

“We finished fifth last year so I just want to see the club progressing and next year in my full season I would hope that we would be looking to pushing either further than that.”

At the weekend Inverurie Locos beat a well-drilled Strathspey Thistle.

He praised his side’s performance but reckons that they should have won by more goals.

He said:“ I thought it was really similar to the week before and we took control of the game early on with Neil Gauld scoring a great goal, the type when he makes it look easy when it wasn’t.

“We grew in confidence and I always felt we were in control and probably should have scored more.

“I was happy with the performance.”

He is looking forward to facing an improved Keith team managed by former team-mate Dean Donaldson on Saturday.

Low played alongside Donaldson for the Garioch side.

He added: “They have been improving.

“I have a lot of time for Deano who I played with.

“I have stayed in contact with him since we stopped playing and went into the coaching side of things.

“Deano is a hard-working lad and honest individual which you see in the Keith side.

“First and foremost they will work hard for him and they have quality players like Cammy Keith and others.

“We know that it is going to be a really tough game.

“It doesn’t surprise me how well Keith are doing.”
