As the toilets in the pavilion are used by the amateur football club and the local kids football teams and are also used on most local fundraising days, the club now feel that the toilets are requiring an upgrade.

As the current Covid-19 guidelines are in place the club have also decided to bring forward their plans to update the facilities to allow for deep cleans to improve the hygiene for the public use.

The club who normally raise money through weekly football sweeper sales don't expect to start their usual way of fundraising again until later on this years so the club decided to raise additional funds through a charity 5k team race event.

Each person from four teams- Team Ythsie, Team Ordhill, Team Haddo and Team Tolquhon had to run a 5k from Wednesday, July 29 to Wednesday, August 4 with each personal best time added together with their teammates for a team total.

Announced on Tuesday, Team Tolquhon were the winning team, with some outstanding personal best times.

The club also offered a chance to win a competition where, for each £5 donation, the public had a chance to win £100 voucher from Eat on the Green.

To do this, for each donation made, the encouraged the public to comment on the original post on Facebook and each name was entered into a draw.

A spokesperson for Tarves Football Club said: “All squad members ran well and have raised some money which will be key to upgrading the facilities at our home park.

“Thank you to everyone who has donated, the just giving link will still be live for a few days if you still wish to donate.”

The team set a starting target of raising £500, which is now at £780 and is still rising with donations to help get upgrade needed for the facilities."
