Victoria Park, which was waterlogged for the first two attempts to get the quarter-final tie played, is set to be playable at the third time of asking.

Jags could hand a debut to new striker Kyle MacLeod, the former Ross County and Elgin City front man recently bought from Brora Rangers.

MacLeod may team up with Stevie Ross, who returned from a loan spell at Clach and scored in his first game as Buckie beat Deveronvale in the League Cup.

That win ended a run of three straight defeats for Buckie including a sore 7-0 loss at Brora in their last league outing.

The winners of tonight's tie visit Fraserburgh in the semi-finals next Wednesday.

If Buckie win that could set up a double header with Broch, who they host in the League Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.

Rothes are also aiming to reach the last eight of the League Cup if their first round tie finally beats the weather tomorrow.

Their three-times-postponed home clash with Nairn County has a better chance of going ahead this midweek.

The winners of that match host Keith on Saturday.
