LOSSIEMOUTH have lost another one of their rising football stars to Highland League rivals Huntly.
The Christie Park side recently signed striker Brodie Allen from the Coasters and are set to confirm the capture of Ryan Sewell this week.
Sewell (23) had been offered a new deal by Lossie but is understood to have signed a pre-contract deal to make the switch to Huntly in the summer.
However a fee has been agreed between the clubs to make the transfer now and it is believed that Sewell will be unveiled as a Huntly player in time for this weekend's match against Formartine United.
He will also be eligible to play in the Aberdeenshire Shield final against Banks o' Dee, which has been confirmed for Wednesday, February 16 at Inverurie's Harlaw Park.
Huntly manager Allan Hale has stepped up their recruitment programme in recent weeks.
In addition to the capture of Allen and Sewell, he signed former Inverurie Locos striker Andy Hunter and ex-Fort William winger Robbie Foster since the turn of the year.
Sewell, like former Lossie team-mate Allen, has attracted attention from other clubs based on his performances for the Grant Park club over the past few seasons.
A recent player of the year for the Coasters, Sewell is in his fourth season in Highland League football having joined Lossie from Elgin City's youth set-up.
Lossiemouth manager Joe Russell and his coaching staff have developed young talent over a number of years and losing both Allen and Sewell is a mid-season blow to the Moray outfit.
However the management team have retained the remainder of their young squad on longer contracts.
