WEDNESDAY night's Aberdeenshire Cup tie between Formartine United and Huntly has been called off due to a Covid case in the Huntly camp.
The Christie Park side say they do not know if any further fixtures will be postponed as a result of the incident.
A club statement read: "One player in our first team squad has tested positive for Covid 19 earlier this evening. We contacted the relevant authorities about this.
"This has resulted in the Aberdeenshire Quarter-Final against Formartine United being postponed.
"The SFA will carry out the relevant Test and Trace investigations and until this is completed we will not know if there will be any further games affected."
A Facebook account bearing Formartine United's name but claiming to be a "non-official information page only acting on information passed to it by the club" posted a message saying the game had been cancelled due to a Covid outbreak.
Huntly responded by saying: "In reference to the Formartine United FC statement, one case does not constitute an outbreak in our camp."
The Black and Golds have made a strong start to the Highland League campaign, winning their last three matches against Clach, Lossiemouth and Turriff after an opening day draw against Strathspey Thistle.
