Brechin City are set to play in the Highland League next season after losing the League Two play-off final to Kelty Hearts.
The Angus club will drop out of the SPFL after losing 3–1 on aggregate to the Lowland League champions, losing 1–0 in the second leg this afternoon at Glebe Park.
Reports had previoulsy indicated Brechin City would prefer to enter the Lowland League rather than play in the Highland League next season.
But Brechin City chairman Ken Ferguson said on BBC Radio Scotland show Sportsound that they expect to play in the Highland League next season.
He said: "The rules are that we go to the Highland League, so that's how the rules are placed at the moment and we have to assume what will happen.
"There is going to be some serious discussions going on at the club in the coming days.
"At this moment in time, we are in the Highland League."
