STORM Ciara arrived early for Buckie Rovers when they were swept away in a hurricane of goals.

Saturday afternoon saw the Merson Park men make the trip to the Granite City to face Longside as they search for points to propel them out of the McBookie.com Division 1 relegation zone.

However, they no doubt wish they had stayed in Buckie as they drowned in a torrent of goals from the hosts. In all, Longside were to slam eight past Rovers, with Nikki Smith providing the only consolation on a grim day for the visitors.

The result left the Rovers management team tight-lipped with fury, with the team's efforts being described as an "embarrassment".

Buckie have a free Saturday in which lick their wounds and pick themselves up before they return to business on Saturday, February 22, this time at home against Aberdeen University, kick-off 2pm.
