Turriff Academy pupil Morgan James has been called up to the Great Britain DMT squad after gold medal-winning performances at both the British and Scottish Trampoline and DMT Championships in September 2019.

At both events she was crowned the 17-21 ladies’ champion.

The S6 student has overcome severe injuries which prevented her at times, from both training and competing to record this huge achievement.

She is one of only four people in Scotland that have been selected for the squads.

James said: “I’m really proud and it is still hard to believe as for the past three years apart from last year I have had injury after injury.

“I dislocated an ankle and had ligament damage.

“When I was competing I was at the good level that I am but because of all my injuries I wasn’t able to reach my full potential.

“This call up was never something I thought about.”
