The competition, sponsored by painting and decorating firm R Davidson of Banchory this term, saw its preliminary and first round ties drawn at the weekend.

Four clubs came out of the hat in the prelim stage including a repeat of the opening Highland League fixture of the season between holders Brora Rangers and Turriff United at Dudgeon Park on September 14.

The winners of that match will visit Keith in the first round on November 9.

Buckie Thistle will play host to the winners of the other prelim match between Strathspey Thistle and Clach.

Lossiemouth are at home to Deveronvale while Rothes welcome Formartine United to Mackessack Park.

Forres Mechanics are the only Moray side on the road as they head to Fraserburgh, while Huntly host Wick Academy.

The other first round ties see Brechin City at home to Inverurie Locos and Nairn County entertaining Banks o’ Dee.
