A superb Shaun Cameron strike early in the second half made it goals in consecutive games for the ex-Forres Mechanics player.

Recent signing Matty Nicol then came off the bench to net his first Highland League goal in the 89th minute to seal another Coasters win, and second straight clean sheet.

Rothes remain in trouble near the foot of the table following their 4-0 defeat at Wick Academy.

Goals by George Ewing, Jack Henry, Marc MacGregor and Euan Kennedy meant a sixth straight loss for the Speysiders, who also saw a Ross Logan penalty saved at 1-0.

Forres had cause for complaint after a hotly-disputed Aidan Wilson penalty on the hour handed Inverurie Locos a 1-0 win at Mosset Park.

Cans also had defender Ryan McRitchie sent off in stoppage time for a second yellow card.

Clachnacuddin’s terrific season continued with a 2-1 win at champions Buckie Thistle.

Craig Lawrie and James Anderson - with his seventh goal in seven games - scored to put the Inverness men in control. Buckie could only muster a Darryl McHardy stoppage time consolation.

Entertainment value was high at Christie Park where Turriff United produced a stirring comeback to defeat Huntly in an eight-goal thriller.

Callan Gray put Turriff ahead before Angus Grant’s 28th goal of the season drew Huntly level, and sparked a home surge which saw Matty Wallace and Ross Still net to put them 3-1 ahead.

Reece McKeown pulled one back from the spot on half time and this was the catalyst for a comeback.

McKeown levelled it up ten minutes after the break and a stunning long range lob by Gray for his second goal edged United in front.

Ellis Clark’s 72nd minute goal sealed victory for the away team.

Brora Rangers moved above Brechin City into top spot last week and with Brechin’s match at Strathspey called off, there was a chance to extend the gap at the top as the Cattachs welcomed Fraserburgh to Dudgeon Park.

Broch edged in front through Fraser Mackie but Mark Nicolson quickly levelled for the leaders.

The same pattern developed in the second half, Aidan Sopel putting the visitors back in front with Michael Finnis replying for Brora within five minutes.

In the push for a winning goal, Bryan Hay put Fraserburgh ahead for a third time and this time the homesters couldn’t hit back, and finished with ten men following Ali Sutherland’s red card.

Banks o’ Dee stayed in the hunt in third with two goals at Deveronvale in the final eight minutes by Kane Winton and Magnus Watson to nick a 2-0 victory.

Formartine United’s home clash with Nairn County was called off due to a power outage at North Lodge Park.
