Donside Gymnastics record success in Inverness

Last Sunday 22 gymnasts from Donside Gymnastics Club travelled to Inverness to take part in the Highland Floor and Vault competition which was a great success.

The club entered 5 teams and were delighted with the results - 4 team golds and a team silver with a total of 39 medals.

Results were as follows:

8 – 9 Beginners - Team Gold

Lily Walker, Sophie Daun, Edie Ironside, Adeola Adeyemi, Allie Jeffrey

8 – 9 Intermediates – Team Gold

Meghan Oliver, Carla McPhee, Jessica Brown, Laura Boddy and Faith Howitt

10 – 11 Beginners – Team Silver

Charlotte Boddy, Abi Mason and Lexi Morrison

10 – 11 Intermediate – Team Gold

Poppy Kirkwood, Millie Cavanagh, Lexie Bathgate, Hannah Crombie and Madisyn Stuart

12 + Beginners – Team Gold

Emma Barclay, Gemma Walker, Ellie Hancock and Ceilidh Watt

Head coach Sandra Simpson was thrilled with the gymnasts performances.

She said: "For many of them it was their first time travelling to a competition, they all loved the experience and cant wait for the next one!"
