Fish continue taking on or close to the surface, however be prepared to change tactics and explore the depths as required.

Hover lines have been catching well keeping the flies close to the surface for a longer period in time, as has the washing line method.

Yellow owls have done particularly well. On the lure side....Fritz Orange ,Black , or White...along with the ubiquitous Yellow Dancer in all its forms.

Weather play its part in the low foot fall this week with the fishery being closed on Friday due to excessively high winds.

Given the fishery is in and access through woodland, if I close it then its for the safety of the customers,

Water is still very clear.

The figures , fishers total 37 , total fish landed 186, blanks 5 , with bags of only one or two fish 6. Largest bags went to Paul Keir with bags of 30, 20, and 17 on successive visits, followed by Bill Ramage with 12 and Peter Cowie on 11.

Largest fish 12lb to Bill Ramage, followed by Paul with 11lb. I believe a PB for Lewis Smith with a 9lb-er. Quite a few fish between 4 and 8lb showing.

A reminder please choose your tippet carefully , recommend 7lbs or over and fish with the capabilites of your line.
