Champions crowned in Garioch Gymnastics Club at Perth competition

Garioch Gymnastics Club had a large number of successful results at the Zinc and Copper Classic Challenge in Perth.

It was almost two years of not competing for the gymnasts and for some this was their first four-piece competition.

Another two overall Scottish Champions were crowned in the club and countless medals and ribbons were won.

The results were:

Zinc 12/13 Years:

Aimee Duncan – 5th overall, 9th vault, 6th bars, 7th beam, bronze floor.

Molly Sinclair – 12th overall, 6th vault, gold floor.

Zinc 11 Years:

Layla Taylor – 10th overall, 9th vault, 6th floor.

Lucy Paterson – 6th bars.

Abigail Tobing – 7th bars.

Zinc 10 Years:

Sophia Gall – 8th overall, gold vault, 4th bars, 6th floor.

Megan Clark – Bronze vault, silver bars, bronze floor.

Lucy Duncan – 5th floor.

Tala Wilson – 6th floor.

Copper 14+ Years:

Matangi Sankriti – Gold overall, bronze vault, 7th bars, gold beam.

Hannah Redfern – Silver overall, silver vault, 8th bars, 5th beam, 5th floor.

Natasha Buchan – Bronze overall, 5th vault, gold bars, gold floor.

Copper 9-10 Years:

Izzy Mackie – Bronze overall, gold vault, 5th bars, 7th beam, 4th floor.

Olivia Allan – 4th overall, 4th vault, 9th bars, 4th beam, bronze floor.

Copper 11 Years:

Abbie Sim – 4th overall, 4th vault, 5th floor.

Copper 12 Years:

Morgan Davidson – Gold overall, gold vault, bronze beam, silver floor.

Amber Cameron – Bronze overall, silver vault, 4th bars, gold floor.

Aleisha Ritchie – 8th floor.

Copper 13 Years:

Kate Peel – 4th vault, 8th bars.

Club manager Janine Robertson said: "A massive thank you to our coaches over the weekend – Tina, Emily and Megan, as well as those who prepared all the girls for the competition and our judges – Cathy, Brodie and Moray.

"It’s a huge team effort to prepare all the gymnasts that have competed over the last two weekends.

"Both the gymnasts and coaches work so hard, and these results are testament to that, during what has been a very challenging couple of years for all."
