Buckie Thistle striker Josh Peters hits four goals as Jags go top of Breedon Highland League

THE top three in the Breedon Highland League have maintained their 100% starts to the season.

Josh Peters hit four goals for Buckie, making it six goals in four games since his move from Elgin City.

Buckie Thistle moved to the summit of the table after an eight goal demolition of Strathspey Thistle, with former Hibs and Elgin City striker Josh Peters bagging four goals in the rout against another of his former clubs.

Brora Rangers kept up the pressure with a 3-0 win at home to Highland League newcomers Banks O' Dee.

And Brechin City also made it four wins out of four with a 3-1 win at Deveronvale.

Defending champions Fraserburgh also hit the goal trail and it was unfortunate Lossiemouth again on the receiving end of a second consecutive drubbing.

Following a six goal thrashing the week before at the hands of Buckie, they slumped to a 7-0 defeat at Grant Park on Saturday.

League table

Their was a first win of the season for Keith, 2-1 at home to Clach.

Huntly and Rothes are both still searching for their first league win after playing out a 1-1 draw at Christie Park.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Formartine, Forres Mechanics and Wick Academy.
