Buckie Thistle's Premier Sports cup fixtures revealed in full

THE fixture list for next season's Premier Sports Cup has been revealed with both Elgin City and Buckie Thistle facing tricky ties.

Buckie Thistle will get their League Cup campaign underway with a home tie against Malky Mackay's Ross County on Saturday, July 9.

The Jags will then travel to Scotland's newest city three days later to take on Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park in a 7.45pm kick off.

On Saturday, July 16, Graeme Stewart's side will welcome Alloa Athletic to Victoria Park before rounding off the group stage action with a trip to East Fife on Tuesday, July 19.

The eight group winners and three best runners-up will qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Elgin City will take on Championship opposition in the form of Ayr United in their first match at Somerset Park on Saturday, July 9 at 3pm.

The following week, they will travel to Galabank to face fellow League 2 outfit Annan Athletic also for a 3pm kick off.

On Tuesday, July 19 City boss Gavin Price will face former side St Johnstone at Borough Briggs in a 7.45pm kick off.

Rounding off the group stage action for Elgin will be a 3pm kick off at home to Queen of the South on Saturday, July 23.

Fixtures for the second round are set to take place on August 30 and August 31.
